We are an independent, volunteer-run campaign advocating for a government inquiry into ADHD in Aotearoa.
What information we collect (and why)
We only collect the personal information you choose to give us — like:
- Your name and email (if you fill in a contact or story form)
- Any comments you leave on the site
- Media files you choose to upload (e.g. a written story or image)
- Browser info like your IP address (automatically collected to protect against spam)
We use this information solely to:
- Reply to your questions
- Process your story submissions (only if you give consent)
- Monitor website performance and protect against spam
- Keep track of who’s contacted us and how
We do not sell or share your data for marketing or advertising purposes.
Cookies
Our site may use cookies to improve performance or remember your preferences (like saving your name in a comment form). You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.
How long we keep your information
We only keep your info as long as we need to. For example:
- Contact form messages are stored so we can respond and follow up
- Story submissions are kept for reference, but only published with your permission
- Comments stay on the website unless you ask us to delete them
Who can see your data
Only members of our small volunteer team have access to messages and submissions. We don’t pass your data to third parties unless legally required.
Some anonymised information (e.g. IP addresses) may be checked via automated spam protection tools.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask us what information we have about you
- Request a copy of any data we hold
- Ask us to update or delete your information
- Withdraw permission for a story to be published at any time
